The 350 Digital Booklet System marries the DSF-2200 Sheet Feeder with the DBM-350 Bookletmaker and Trimmer to create a cost-effective mid-range bookletmaking system ideal for a wide range of applications from mono and colour digital presses. Although it is common for a digital press to produce a complete job ready collated in sequential order, many presses will slow down when the weight of paper changes considerably - to allow the engine to adjust to the correct temperature - or when a preprinted cover is inserted to the paper path. Two paper feed trays in the DSF-2200 allow the combination of main content pages with covers that have been offset printed, printed on a separate digital press, UV coated or laminated.
The 350 Digital System is a modular system combining sheet feeder, bookletmaker, trimmer and optional squarespine module. It is a real alternative to dedicated in-line bookletmaking systems, providing features such as job integrity (for confidence that production is correct), fast operation, two feed trays (to allow the merging of differently finished stocks), stitching heads and book press for a quality finish. A well-proven feeding device allows a system to be operated by the same persons who are running the presses, ensuring continuity of management and control, as well as savings in staffing costs.
Being a modular system, Duplo has a range of alternative feeding and finishing devices that provide the business owner with the opportunity to upgrade or change devices as your needs change and business develops.
The 350 Digital System is operated from a PC Windows based graphical user interface that allows simple programming, adjustments and job recall from a virtually unlimited memory. Automated control is also made from this point, allowing quick setup between jobs. The feeding system uses a combination of top-feeding, pumps and active anti-static devices to ensure consistent operation. The paper follows a relatively flat paper path under transparent safety covers, allowing operation to be monitored and adjustments made. Stitching heads, book press and optional squarespine module ensure quality production.
